Organic pure gem turpentine is obtained after distillation of raw pine resin (from resinous trees), unlike turpentine obtained from the Kraft pulp process (desulphurised Tall Oil).

Contrary to what you might think, given its use in paints and solvents, organic pure gem turpentine, or commonly known as turpentine, is in no way synthetic, but is a natural material derived from pine resin.

The very name turpentine covers a wide range of products. The quality of these differs according to the variety of tree, the method of harvesting and distillation, the country of origin and the terroir.

BioGemme's organic pure gem turpentine, made from raw pine resin harvested in a closed vase, is characterised by its low oxidation. Its chemical composition is analysed by an independent laboratory, which issues a certificate of analysis.

It also has the Organic Agriculture label awarded by Ecocert, which also guarantees its traceability.

The biological impact of organic pure gem turpentine is known and controlled, depending on its degree of oxidation and the quantities used.

Administered by air or by the skin, organic pure gem turpentine has oxygenating, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, bactericidal, fungicidal, sedative and decongestant properties.

It is therefore suitable for a wide range of uses, both domestic and industrial, in pure or mixed form.
